For Boston convention center transportation, the MCEC is about 3.5 miles from Logan Airport, and the Hynes about 6.5 miles. Getting to the MCEC (BCEC) in the Seaport

The MCCA describes Logan as an eight-minute taxi ride from the MCEC.1 Your options:

  • Silver Line. The World Trade Center stop is across from the building. The SL1 is free from Logan and runs from about 6:30am to 1:00am; the ride back to the airport is $2.40.1
  • South Station. About a 15-minute walk, with the Red Line, Commuter Rail, Amtrak and intercity buses.1
  • Rideshare and taxi. The MCCA lists a rideshare pickup and drop-off area on East Side Drive, off Summer Street.1
  • Driving. About 1,300 attendee parking spaces; self-parking is $35 per car.1
  • Chauffeured car. A pre-booked car meets you at Logan and drops you at the building. For pickup after a session, agree the meeting door with your chauffeur when you book.

  • Subway. Hynes Convention Center, Copley and Prudential stations on the Green Line, and Back Bay on the Orange Line.2
  • Back Bay Logan Express. $3 to the airport and free from the airport to Back Bay.4
  • Taxi. A cab stand across from the Prudential Center, outside the Boylston Street entrance.2
  • Parking. More than 4,400 spaces in garages within three blocks; meter parking is limited.2
  • Chauffeured car. Useful for exhibitors with cases, speakers on a tight schedule and evening dinners across town.

Planning Boston convention center transportation for a group

  1. Collect arrival flights early. Big shows bring many arrivals at once. Group travelers who land close together into one vehicle where it makes sense.
  2. Size the vehicle. At Mak Louren, a Business Sedan carries up to 3 passengers, a Business SUV up to 6, and a Business Van up to 15 ($165 per hour, 4-hour minimum).5
  3. Book hourly for speakers and executives. A car on call between the hall, hotel and dinner avoids taxi lines at closing time. Hourly service is $100 per hour in a sedan and $125 in an SUV, 3-hour minimum.5
  4. Plan the exit. Rideshare and taxi demand peaks when sessions end. A booked pickup time and agreed door save waiting.
  5. Allow for the airport. Massport has posted an advisory about FAA-required safety work causing flight delays in the afternoons and evenings.6

Executives with several meetings around the show can use how to plan a Boston roadshow itinerary. Logan rates by town are in Logan Airport car service cost.
